I am a Gippsland based artist living in Warragul. My work for the last 5 years has been an exploration of colour portrayed through intricate intense settings depicting feathers, art deco china, repetitive patterns in fabrics and flowers.  My love of Paris and the Mediterranean is a constant inspiration.

Attention to detail is shown through black outlines. A touch of the whimsical is present and a disregard of perspective for fun.  My influences are the Australian Greg Irvine , Matisse and Van Gogh.

With a colour blast I hope to engage the viewer with optimism.

The conventional rules of colour and pattern are not relevant when my medium is gouache; i.e., blue and green together stripes and checks with florals.

I have been painting full time for the past 4 years. I have moved from pastel to oils and now to gouache. I find this quick drying medium with its vibrant colours suits my work and gives me considerable pleasure.
